What is HTML?

HTML stands for Hypertext Markup Language. A Language that is used to create websites. Every website you see is written in HTML. Tim Berners-Lee wrote the first version of HTML between 1989 and 1990.

Who is Tim Berners-Lee?

Tim Berners-Lee in full Sir Tim Berners-Lee (born June 8, 1955, in London, England) is a British Physicist and Computer scientist. He is Also known as the Inventor of Html and the World Wide Web (WWW) founder. Between 1989 and 1990, Berners lee worked at Cern in Geneva (Switzerland). He wanted to create an easy way to share information with other people all around the world. He also wrote the first web page editor/browser (“WorldWideWeb.app”) and the first web server (“HTTP “). In 2004 he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II. So his name is Sir Timothy John Berners-Lee. He never wanted any money for his inventions. If he had sold them, he would probably have become a multi-billionaire.
