What is JavaScript?

JavaScript is an object-oriented programming language and a scripting language used to build websites, games, and even apps, along with other technologies like HTML and CSS. JavaScript is currently one of the most fundamental languages used in Web development.

The History of JavaScript.

Netscape and Eich designed JavaScript as a scripting language for use with the company's flagship web browser, Netscape Navigator. Initially known as LiveScript, Netscape changed the name to JavaScript so they could position it as a companion for the Java language, a product of their partner, Sun Microsystems.


Who is Brendan Eich?

Brendan Eich (born on July 4, 1961, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) is an American computer programmer and technology executive. He created the JavaScript programming language in 1995 and co-founded the Mozilla project, the Mozilla Foundation, and the Mozilla Corporation. He is currently the CEO of Brave Software, an Internet security company that has raised $2.5 million in early funding from angel investors.
